Interns (Work
Experience) Needed
UNPAID
work experience in Brighton, England. There
is no fee for this service for students. You
must be a full-time student and an EU passport holder
(or have an ongoing student visa which allows you to
stay in the UK during your internship).
Before you take
this further, please be sure this is an area you are
interested in, because you will be expected to work
hard, you will spend most of your time working on a
computer and on the telephone. You will be given excellent
training and will be expected to work a great deal on
your own initiative. THIS WORK EXPERIENCE IS UNPAID.
Translation Central
For 4 to 6 months.
2 positions:
- April, 2006
- June, 2007
Working with Alexis, Jose,
Marina, Uta, and our other interns in our central Brighton
office, one minute from the beach (see below).
Your roles will include:
Sales, Marketing, PR, Research, Admin, Clients
You must have excellent English (written and spoken).
Unpaid to start but this could lead to a permanent job
after you finish your studies. Perfect for students
who need an internship as part of their course. You
would work every day (Monday to Friday - the hours could
be arranged to fit around a part-time job if you need
to work in order to support yourself - many interns
choose to get part-time work in restaurants, bars, etc)
and you would receive very intensive training (including
telephone skills and Access) in the first few weeks
and then ongoing monitoring and support throughout the
internship. Translation Central may be able to give
you a very small amount of money each week to cover
your travel and lunches, but you will need to be able
to cover your own accommodation and living expenses.
