Biography

Alexis is a Cambridge University graduate (BA in Social & Political Sciences) and a qualified English teacher who has taught in various countries. He also has an MA in Tourism Management and Marketing from Brighton University and has his own separate internet marketing and communications company and a corporate language training business.

While in Russia, Alexis was the staff translator (Russian into English) for a number of magazines on subjects as diverse as economics, politics, travel, business, lifestyle and news features. As editor of the leading lifestyle magazine in Ukraine, one of his responsibilities included managing a team of Ukrainian translators paying careful attention to deadlines, word count, accuracy and cultural relevance. Alexis also worked as a freelance interpreter (English-Russian) on many occasions.

Biography

María Luz is an English Spanish Public Translator, graduated from the National University of Cordoba, Argentina, and has a postgraduate course in Journalism. She has worked as freelance translator and as Client Analyst and Customer Service Representative for a multinational company. She is Spanish native and speaks English and French. Luz joined Translation Central in December, 2008 and works closely with the CEO and clients. Her main function is to manage, organize, assign and supervise translation projects and answer all the questions from our clients.

Biography

Teresa is a native German speaker who was born and raised in Austria. She also speaks English and French and joined the company in 2008. Her target is to gain as much experience as possible in the translation industry as she may want to study translation later on at university. She is in charge of organising and managing translations and sees to the needs of every client, from the first contact to the final delivery.
